(364142816)

09-02-2012 01.00
Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 2431 to
Ralph Wiggum Arena.
Gerald Schertler was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Bernard Banacki and
Timmy Fink Jensen.
Hasloch had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
Starters: Haywood - Bain, Chadwick, Ellington - Hartman, Schaeffer, Gibson, Choate, Joly - Holloway, Roach.
Josè tactics involved an interesting 4-5-1 combination.
They fielded: Vigo - Belletti, Cassillas, Festorazzi, Ljubinković - Fiaschetti, Mazzuoli, Di Lorenzo, Garayo, Matics - Tommei.
The home side put themselves ahead 1 - 0 after 9 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from
J. Holloway, who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing.
16 minutes into the game,
D. Ljubinković had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came
R. Janyška.
With 30 minutes played, the Josè coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around.
S. Celli came on,
A. Mazzuoli had to leave the fray.
After 31 minutes, Josè used a short break in the game to take new instructions from their coach.
After 36 minutes Hasloch's
J. Holloway contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game.
Josè needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 38 minutes
F. Di Lorenzo made way for
J. Marasso.
As the captain was no longer on the pitch,
J. Marasso took over the role of being the Josè captain.
43 minutes into the game, Josè had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to
passable.
Josè tied it all up, 44 minutes in, after a spectacular goal by
G. Matics, who miraculously broke through the home side's central defence, making it 1 - 1.
44 minutes in, Josè appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only
inadequate.
Always quick and a menace to his opponents,
J. Holloway was very close to getting through after 44 minutes, but he could only put the ball into the keeper's arms.
Some things can only be learned through experience, and
S. Celli should take his lesson to heart after nearly gifting Hasloch a goal with 44 minutes of the match played.
44 minutes in, the referee awarded Hasloch a penalty.
J. Holloway coolly slotted it home for a 2 - 1 lead.
When
V. Tommei left the game because of a back injury after 44 minutes, Josè had to continue a man short due to there being no available replacements.
The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 1.
Josè had most of the ball, with 59 percent of possession.
A review of the gameplan helped Josè get back to a
solid organisation when the referee blew his whistle again.
48 minutes into the game, Josè seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to
poor.
After 80 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and
R. Choate gave the Hasloch supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 3 - 1.
The referee showed Hasloch's
A. Schaeffer the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
Josè's
U. Garayo had to leave the pitch and there were no more available substitutions!
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Josè, with 51 percent of the ball.
Hasloch's best player was
D. Haywood.
J. Holloway was a disappointment, however.
Josè's top performer was clearly
A. Festorazzi.
However,
E. Belletti made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 3 - 1.
