Green 1 - 0 MARC1807 (364247099)

The 643 spectators at Amsterdam were in for an afternoon of sunshine. Giuseppe Garibaldi was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Harald Johansen and Jurek Bala. A 3-4-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Green. The following players had been chosen: Mofre - Kovačević, Facorro, Friaxe - Kudlik, Pinto, Gonzálvez, Carotta - Albarellos, Dalsgarð, Igor.

MARC1807 started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Lineup: Miro - Efken, Ballvé, González Palacios - Cuyubamba, Sabell, Klitzen, Akmanavičius, ten Tije - Valdueza, Jansson.

Green saw most attack opportunities on the wings. MARC1807 displayed their ability to play creatively. After 29 minutes, Green raised their score by one when A. Kudlik's dangerous low cross was cleverly tucked in at the near post by R. Igor. 1 - 0. With 34 minutes played, P. Jansson of MARC1807 fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, R. Klitzen got himself booked. The manager of MARC1807 was not happy. It was 1 - 0 at the break. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by MARC1807, with 74 percent of the ball.

With 46 minutes played, the MARC1807 coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. J. Kelava came on, B. Efken had to leave the fray. F. Akmanavičius made a run for the goal 53 minutes into the game but the home team's left back managed to sort the situation out in the end. Coming through the middle P. Jansson almost scored the equaliser for MARC1807 after 63 minutes, but C. Mofre made an excellent save, tipping the awkwardly curled shot past the post. MARC1807's P. Jansson refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 70 minutes. F. Akmanavičius received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 78 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score. R. Igor wanted to play on, but the Green coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 80 minutes into the game by T. Giraldell. MARC1807 were close to putting the equaliser away after 81 minutes as the opposing defence lost control of the ball to A. Valdueza in a scuffle towards the left of the goal, but in the end the ball was cleared over the dead ball line. With 82 minutes played, T. Sabell came in from the right and could have evened the score, but the defenders successfully repelled the attack by MARC1807. The intense heat forced A. Kudlik into making some errors because he couldn't seem to keep up with the others. MARC1807 had most of the ball, with 74 percent of possession.

Green's best player was T. Giraldell. I. Friaxe was a disappointment, however. MARC1807's top performer was clearly R. Klitzen. A. Miro turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 1 - 0.
