previous 4/10 next 6/10  Muur 0 - 6 Bastille (364361697)

Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 1200 to De Betonmolen. Tobias Palmtorp was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Vassil Vúlkov and Yaman Kutluel. A 2-5-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Muur. The following players had been chosen: ter Linden - Tsiopas, Hellinger - Aukee, Făt, Zsolnai, Givati, Asaf - Schuyesmans, Tarquini, Zakarauskas.

Bastille tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination. Lineup: Oost - Niessen, Blaauw, Slager, Oost - van der Graft, Andhika, Baya, Bak - Heetla, Adams.

For their match strategy, Muur had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible. H. Heetla came close to putting the visiting team one up 12 minutes into the match, following a solo raid down the middle, but E. ter Linden managed to tip the ball to a corner. 22 minutes in, Muur appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only passable. 28 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Bastille substitution. H. Belezoğlu came on for H. Andhika. C. Oost was the new captain of Bastille - handed the armband by the departing player. The guests took the lead 37 minutes into the match, after a right-side attack resulted in M. Adams scoring to make it 0 - 1. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave F. Baya from Bastille a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 39 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Muur were forced into a substitution as D. Zakarauskas couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing R. Orourke to come in off the bench. Bastille's W. van der Graft got himself booked for a foul. E. ter Linden got a fingertip on H. Heetla's shot from the left 43 minutes in, and managed to keep the visitors from going up another goal. After 44 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed L. Blaauw to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 2. A misunderstanding between the visitors' keeper C. Oost and his left defence could have resulted in a goal for Muur, but A. Hellinger's finish was way too lame. Bastille increased the lead to 0 - 3 as H. Heetla scored from the penalty spot, putting the ball in near the top left corner. 44 minutes into the game, Muur seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a inadequate level of organisation. After 44 minutes, the defensive line of Bastille created a counterattack through the middle that gave H. Heetla a good look at the goal, but his shot glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. A. Făt of Muur received a yellow card after 44 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. 0 - 3 was the score after the first half. Bastille claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 66 percent.

The Muur players spent the break getting a rerun of the team's tactical organisation and regained a solid organisation when the game started again. With 51 minutes played, Bastille put themselves up 0 - 4 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was H. Heetla. After 54 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Muur found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to inadequate. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Bastille coach let G. Kool replace C. Slager after 60 minutes. After 61 minutes, Bastille were awarded a free kick. Rather than shooting straight at goal, the taker went for an indirect variant which seemed to take his team mates a bit by surprise. H. Niessen did attempt a finish, but from an awkward position, sending the ball into the away fans. 66 minutes into the game, Muur had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to inadequate. E. ter Linden kept the home side in the game with a magnificent save when H. Heetla delivered an almost perfect free kick to the far post. 75 minutes into the game, Muur seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to weak. A drive down the left side allowed P. Bak to get in close and score another goal for Bastille after 80 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 5. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Bastille lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. The home crowd was not impressed when M. Adams came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 81 minutes. Bastille were now up 0 - 6. S. Oost left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 88 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. T. Antonisse was the replacement. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Bastille, with 69 percent of the ball.

Muur's top performer was clearly B. Schuyesmans. On the other hand, A. Hellinger's play was disheartening. Most important Bastille player was L. Blaauw. H. Belezoğlu was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 6.
