Dark skies made the crowd of 12000 at Arena auf Musdal a little nervous, but the rain held off. Remigio Lanús was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Tomasz Łączny and Jørgen Kai Enevoldsen. Musdal had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. Kyborneticos displayed their ability to play creatively. A mistake by the home side's central defence after 11 minutes allowed H. Schmiederredder to score for Kyborneticos. The scoreboard now read 0 - 1. G. Sáfrány of Kyborneticos received a yellow card after 15 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. The bicycle kick from J. Kaliada would have been the Goal of the Year for Kyborneticos, had it not hit the post. Some fine movement on the left led to a Kyborneticos goal after 23 minutes, making it 0 - 2. I. Mazza was noted down as the scorer. After 34 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for I. Mazza who increased Kyborneticos's lead to 0 - 3. After 39 minutes, Kyborneticos's J. Kaliada burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 4. 0 - 4 was the score after the first half. Kyborneticos enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 86 percent of possession.

The home crowd was not impressed when P. Tofan came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 73 minutes. Kyborneticos were now up 0 - 5. The players of Kyborneticos now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Kyborneticos increased their lead after 75 minutes when I. Mazza broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 6, much to the home crowd's dismay. At that, I. Mazza was noted down for a hat trick! With the scoreboard showing that 79 minutes had been played, Kyborneticos nearly put themselves up another goal after P. Tofan came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save. After 83 minutes, Musdal's R. Hovde fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit! The visitors' W. Kabała took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 84 minutes into the match. 0 - 7 for Kyborneticos. A drive down the left side allowed J. Kaliada to get in close and score another goal for Kyborneticos after 85 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 8. Kyborneticos claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 88 percent.

S. Bakkli performed admirably for Musdal. However, H. Steenslid made a disastrous appearance. Kyborneticos's top performer was clearly W. Kabała. On the other hand, F. Casas's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 8.
