Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 6108 to Estadio de la Paz. Paul Monrad was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Feliciano Alfonso and Emil Jiráček. Yakubu clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could. GUEVARA used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. It was obvious that team GUEVARA had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings. After 9 minutes, GUEVARA's R. Lombard made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1. Some fine movement on the left led to a GUEVARA goal after 19 minutes, making it 0 - 2. P. Vogels was noted down as the scorer. The GUEVARA free kick 28 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of J. Andrelo, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 0 - 3! After this, you could see that the players of GUEVARA were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. 30 minutes into the match, J. Maroto came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. GUEVARA were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally. After 33 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for P. Vogels who increased GUEVARA's lead to 0 - 4. 0 - 4 was the score after the first half. GUEVARA had most of the ball, with 76 percent of possession.

50 minutes in, Yakubu's J. Braive received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. A drive down the left side allowed P. Vogels to get in close and score another goal for GUEVARA after 65 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 5. At that, P. Vogels was noted down for a hat trick! A. Samson's lack of experience almost gave Yakubu a goal after 71 minutes, but the shot went right into the keeper's arms. With 76 minutes gone, a long pass from the defence of Yakubu resulted in a counterattack that set E. Nigrowics free through the middle, but the keeper made a spectacular diving save. A. Lavasani of GUEVARA was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. After the ball was lifted in from the left, J. Maroto was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 81 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration. GUEVARA's A. Samson left the field after 82 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was E. Kühnler. B. Forbord received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 83 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 6. The GUEVARA fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. With 85 minutes gone, GUEVARA had a free kick in a decent position. Despite this being a great chance for a shot, they tried a cheeky move intended to bypass the defence. However, B. Forbord did not manage to connect with it cleanly and the ball went out. GUEVARA enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 78 percent of possession.

Yakubu's best player was A. Sıla. M. Svensson turned in a dismal performance, however. Most important GUEVARA player was B. Forbord. I. Krijger was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 6.
