OrangeRoad 3 - 2 Taipei (364962142)

Due to an all-day shower, 48570 paying spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog at OrangeRoad Arena. Maciej Figa was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Jens-Ulf Hume and Adam Aristegui. OrangeRoad started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Lineup: Rozsypal - Rook, Humm, Rosenbaum - Yuk, Chaohui, Cooper, Petraşcu, Chunwen - Cafarelli, Cakaj.

Taipei tactics involved an interesting 2-5-3 combination. Starters: Insinga - 保成 (Baocheng) , Hjort - 海堅 (Haijian), Persson, 費龍 (Feilong) , Chiodi, 啟彪 (Qibiao) - Poppele, Gouveia, Gashi.

Taipei clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. OrangeRoad took the lead after 14 minutes as a result of R. Rosenbaum's peach of a shot from the right hand side of the box - placed beautifully in the top corner. 1 - 0. After 21 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by S. Cafarelli might have resulted in another goal for OrangeRoad. However, T. Insinga made a spectacular save. Thighs bulging, P. Hjort charged past the weaker players, seemingly oblivious to the rain. With 30 minutes played, OrangeRoad put themselves up 2 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to C. Chunwen, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. After this, you could see that the players of OrangeRoad were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. D. Persson sailed high above the opponents as he headed in a corner kick from C. Poppele after 32 minutes of play, making the score 2 - 1. C. Poppele was uncomfortable with the soggy pitch as he couldn't move the ball around with his usual grace. 2 - 1 was the halftime score. OrangeRoad enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 64 percent of possession.

OrangeRoad put in a good effort on the right, but C. Cooper saw his volley fly wide of the mark 60 minutes into the game. After 64 minutes, the visitors levelled the scores after 洪. 海堅 (Haijian) made it through the middle and struck home to make it 2 - 2. With 82 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 3 - 2 lead as H. Chaohui flipped the ball in after a cross from the right. OrangeRoad had most of the ball, with 62 percent of possession.

OrangeRoad's best player was M. Petraşcu. H. Yuk was a disappointment, however. B. Gashi performed admirably for Taipei. 宋. 啟彪 (Qibiao) on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 3 - 2.
