(364962179)

12-05-2012 05.00
Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and
Chang Rong Lu saw a crowd turnout of 48021.
Tonny Dubois was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Michel de Gaulle and
Gábor Pór.
Exiles had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation.
Starters: Arcontilli - Galalón, González Carvajal, Montalto - Idema, Chinchayán, Shazar, McNab - Morasso, 志鴻 (Zhihong), 海峰 (Haifeng).
OrangeRoad tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
The following players took the field: Sáenz - Garachena, Humm, Abud - Chunwen, Cooper, Petraşcu, Salienko, Yuk - Cafarelli, Cakaj.
Exiles tried to focus their attacks down the middle.
Down the middle came
C. Cooper, making a fantastic play that nearly had OrangeRoad take the lead after 19 minutes, but
D. Arcontilli preserved the tie.
The home crowd breathed a collective sigh of relief when
H. Yuk was unable to put the ball in the net after his show of skill down the left 20 minutes into the match. He was seen beating the pitch in frustration at missing such a good chance to give his team the lead!
A lovely run by OrangeRoad's
H. Yuk left his markers for dead and should have resulted in a goal, but the finish went just wide.
After 29 minutes, OrangeRoad put themselves up 0 - 1, as
S. Cafarelli finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot.
After 36 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed
A. Abud to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 2.
The players of OrangeRoad now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle.
The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 2.
Neither team were able to dominate possession this half.
After the ball was lifted in from the left,
C. Cooper was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 48 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration.
夏. 海峰 (Haifeng) tried to get a goal back for Exiles but despite all his hard work down the right, he just couldn't complete the move.
M. Petraşcu came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over
D. Arcontilli but overcooked it and hit the bar instead.
OrangeRoad's
M. Petraşcu was shown a yellow card after 80 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
With 84 minutes played,
G. Cakaj nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar.
S. Morasso's speed is always a threat when he gets a little room to move, and 85 minutes into the match was no different as he broke free of his man to send a delightful through ball to
夏. 海峰 (Haifeng) who knocked it in for Exiles. 1 - 2!
OrangeRoad's
S. Cafarelli made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 87 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line.
Possession in this half belonged to OrangeRoad, who controlled the ball 59 percent of the time.
Most important Exiles player was
古. 志鴻 (Zhihong).
J. Galalón on the other hand, had a terrible day.
OrangeRoad's best player was
M. Petraşcu.
On the other hand,
M. Garachena's play was disheartening.
The match ends 1 - 2.
