Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and
Empirica Arena saw a crowd turnout of 17100.
Jean-Pierre Rebillard was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Dobromil Loskot and
Raynald Garot.
The derby had been the talk of
Ulaanbaatar all week and fans of both teams could be seen throughout the stadium.
A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Sansar.
Starters: Giacintucci - Bora, Temuder, Dochin, Gombo - Bumbyn, Kuzhuk, Gutchluk, Saboya - Doberg, Shria.
Nadaam tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.

Sansar preferred to finish off their attacks from a distance.
Nadaam mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle.
They were singing the praises of
M. Bora 14 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 1 - 0 to Sansar.
Nadaam's
J. Surtak refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 17 minutes.

The guests almost went up by a goal after 40 minutes when
J. Henriksson came through and shot from the right. The ball bounced harmlessly off the post, though.
Sansar focused on finding shooting opportunities from distance and after 41 minutes
J. Temuder fired off the big cannon, but the shot went sailing over the cross bar and into the car park.
Nadaam's
C. Dampildorg left the field after 43 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was

Nadaam were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally.
The visitors got a chance to pulling one back after 80 minutes, due to a defensive blunder leaving

A. Lamfré was a disappointment, however.
