17-03-2012 10.00
Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 50000 at
BUCOVINA FC Arena today.
Alvin Mörnbratt was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Sjakie Franssen and
Elco Emmens.
BUCOVINA started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
The following players took the field: van Schuppen - Barkan, Isaguirre, Borrull - Didi, Uusisaari, Højer Nielsen, Schipper, Morales - Tolvanen, Balan.
Paramecii tactics involved an interesting 5-3-2 combination.
Lineup: Millán - Talaş, Maşuke, Leş, Rotoi, Bădiliţă - Sabag, Dürr, Dumitrescu - van der Feen, Lemström.
For their match strategy, Paramecii had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible.
BUCOVINA's
A. Didi placed the ball right at his teammate's feet after a corner, but
A. Uusisaari couldn't finish.
After 15 minutes, Paramecii's
R. Talaş fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit!
The counterattack by Paramecii resulted in a free kick that
F. Dürr bent under the crossbar - 0 - 1!
BUCOVINA's
L. Balan almost tied things up with 33 minutes played after breaking through on the right, but his shot deflected off the post.
After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,
M. Rotoi got himself booked. The manager of Paramecii was not happy.
The referee showed Paramecii's
M. Leş the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
The crowd was on its feet 43 minutes into the match, as BUCOVINA's
L. Isaguirre found himself unmarked in front of the goal after a dash up the left side. He calmly put away the 1 - 1 equaliser.
1 - 1 was the score after the first half.
BUCOVINA claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 68 percent.
BUCOVINA fans held their breath as
L. Isaguirre scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 2 - 1!
After 70 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by
L. Balan might have resulted in another goal for BUCOVINA. However,
D. Millán made a spectacular save.
A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in BUCOVINA's
J. Tolvanen increasing the lead to 3 - 1.
Paramecii's
P. Maşuke had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 75 minutes having been played.
A. Paizs was the replacement.
Paramecii almost scored after a swift counterattack 84 minutes into the game, but
K. van der Feen put the shot from the left flank just outside the goal.
BUCOVINA managed to extend their lead to 4 - 1 when
J. Tolvanen cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper.
BUCOVINA had most of the ball, with 71 percent of possession.
BUCOVINA's best player was
J. Tolvanen.
A. Didi was a disappointment, however.
The most dominating Paramecii player was without a doubt
M. Lemström.
R. Talaş on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 4 - 1.
