Hyvönen alone with the keeper, but he chipped it to the wrong side of the post. BOBY almost scored after a counterattack 32 minutes into the match, but L. Baatrup took a shot from the left that landed harmlessly in the side of the net. FCD had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead. A quick counter attack by BOBY forced the opponent's defender to give away a freekick. M. Vučinović was allowed to take it quickly by the referee, much to the dismay of the goalkeeper who wasn't prepared. 0 - 1! Halftime score was 0 - 1. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by FCD, with 68 percent of the ball.

Attacking on the wings was the choice for FCD, and they were successfully passing the ball from the middle to the wings to attack. Due to some great work on the right wing FCD's M. Burlacu was able to even the score after 65 minutes to make the score 1 - 1. FCD had most of the ball, with 69 percent of possession.

The most dominating FCD player was without a doubt P. Grigore. However, C. Abeijón made a disastrous appearance. BOBY's top performer was clearly N. Urba. E. Jongejan turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 1 - 1.
