Confident in their lead, Milinita's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. After 26 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by V. Cagliostro might have resulted in another goal for Milinita. However, V. Guna made a spectacular save. The sun seemed to put J. Bittig in a great mood, and he showed off his technical skills all match long. Milinita put themselves up 4 - 0 when S. Popescu broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. Deportivo had to make a substitution after 41 minutes. M. David limped off the field and was replaced by A. Turcan. Milinita's D. Buhociu swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. Halftime score was 4 - 0. Milinita had most of the ball, with 90 percent of possession.

After 61 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and S. Popescu gave the Milinita supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 5 - 0.
