The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 12000 had shown up at
Erony Kings Or for the match.
Oliver Patmore was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Alfredo Isea and
Hennie Schaart.
Shalom started off with a 4-3-3 lineup.
The following players had been chosen: Cools - Strandberg, Bertil, Buchta, Ferenc - Verhaeg, Lavado, Hansson - Pexegueiro, Meisolle, Ohav.
BarcAHagai decided to use a 4-4-2 set up.
Lineup: Efrat - David, Noam, Berman, Shemesh - Moshe, Mansur, Shilin, Mnuskin - Mor, Magen.
Shalom were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks.
Shalom were very close to putting themselves one up after 2 minutes as
E. Ohav got through on the left, but failing in concentration, he shot the ball wide.
16 minutes into the match and the home team took a 1 - 0 lead after breaking through on the left. The scorer for Shalom was
N. Lavado.
Shalom put themselves up 2 - 0 when
E. Ohav broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake.
By now, the players in Shalom felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 0.
Shalom claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 57 percent.
After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,
G. Mor got himself booked. The manager of BarcAHagai was not happy.
Content with how the game was proceeding, the Shalom coach let
T. Kammer replace
N. Lavado after 65 minutes.
E. Ohav of Shalom was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
After 83 minutes,
Ś. Buchta put Shalom ahead 3 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing.
Players in Shalom heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their central attacks to the wings instead.
Shalom's
Ś. Buchta increased the lead to 4 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 89 minutes.
Possession in this half belonged to Shalom, who controlled the ball 58 percent of the time.
Most important Shalom player was
E. Ohav.
E. Cools was a disappointment, however.
The most dominating BarcAHagai player was without a doubt
G. Shilin.
However,
R. Efrat made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 4 - 0.
