Alejo Szklar and
Gilles Masset.
Drakes decided to use a 3-5-2 set up.
They fielded: Pajares - Mikkilä, Smrčina, Mezzina - Mrázek, Byrialsen, Resa, Mutanen, de Kock - Wolfer, Röhrich.

The following players had been chosen: Lelek - Folcik, Redyk, Díaz de Estrada - bin Abu Samah, Tošenovský, Rinkes, Kadlec, Brasier - Boutin, Polymeris.
I. Smrčina could have put Drakes into the lead after 10 minutes, but the free kick went just wide.
The home crowd breathed a collective sigh of relief when
K. Polymeris was unable to put the ball in the net after his show of skill down the left 25 minutes into the match. He was seen beating the pitch in frustration at missing such a good chance to give his team the lead!
Orlová took the lead after
K. Polymeris curved a free kick into the net. 0 - 1
40 minutes into the match, Drakes's
K. Byrialsen maneuvered his way around the opposition on the left flank, delighting the crowd with his twists and turns. The effort paid off as the ball found the back of the net, evening the score at 1 - 1.
41 minutes into the game,
O. Mrázek had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came
V. Thörnén.
1 - 1 was the halftime score.

After 55 minutes, the Orlová coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving
F. Boutin off the field.
E. Solano took his place.
Always quick on his feet, Drakes's
E. de Kock sped down the field after 61 minutes, but his pass to
F. Wolfer was just a bit too far ahead for him to get a good shot off.
The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of Orlová's
O. Tošenovský after 63 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 1 - 2 lead.
70 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 1 - 3 as
E. Solano finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick.
A marvellous Drakes effort on the right-hand side resulted in a goal after 71 minutes by
A. Mutanen, making the score 2 - 3.

I. Resa limped off the field and was replaced by

Orlová's goal to make the score 3 - 4 came via a questionable penalty, but
K. Polymeris struck it home without a second thought.
Possession was split evenly between the teams.
Drakes's best player was
E. de Kock.
However,
N. Pajares made a disastrous appearance.
