(365834592)

21-04-2012 11.30
The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 56794 had shown up at
FK bílá EL Mino Arena for the match.
Ramón Orduña was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Jindřich Čížek and
Julián Egibar.
A 3-4-3 alignment was the formation of choice for bílá.
They fielded: Kay - Palík, Kadir, Juliussen - Kotouček, Ruiz, Garçom, Váňa - Bonini, Vučelić, Hemmelmann.
Soldiers started off with a 2-5-3 lineup.
Starters: Balga - Machan, Spálenka - Kolář, Vrba, Gajda, Hrůza, Štafa - Brčák, Buršík, Kutra.
The wings were the focus of most of bílá's attacks today.
Soldiers mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle.
Almost all the way down to the corner flag, bílá's
V. Váňa somehow managed to get a perfect pass into the middle, impossible to miss for
N. Hemmelmann, who struck for 1 - 0.
Some brilliant football from the visitors' right wing resulted in a levelling of the score as Soldiers's
J. Brčák put the ball in the onion bag after 15 minutes to make it 1 - 1.
V. Machan of Soldiers received a yellow card after 21 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
With 22 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 2 - 1 lead as
P. Vučelić flipped the ball in after a cross from the right.
With 23 minutes gone, bílá had a free kick in a decent position. Despite this being a great chance for a shot, they tried a cheeky move intended to bypass the defence. However,
R. Garçom did not manage to connect with it cleanly and the ball went out.
J. Brčák really should have scored when he was chosen by fate to confront a wide open goal following a great play by
M. Gajda after a corner.
Good work by the bílá defensive line after 27 minutes produced a good counterattack chance, which cut elegantly down the middle of the pitch and found
E. Kadir alone in front of the goal, but his shot whistled just wide.
Halftime score was 2 - 1.
Soldiers claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 51 percent.
With 49 minutes played, bílá's
V. Váňa almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net.
After 55 minutes, the visitors levelled the scores after
D. Buršík made it through the middle and struck home to make it 2 - 2.
A. Palík gave bílá the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 3 - 2
N. Hemmelmann could have increased the lead after 79 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park.
Soldiers enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 52 percent of possession.
bílá's best player was
R. Garçom.
G. Kay turned in a dismal performance, however.
Soldiers's top performer was clearly
J. Brčák.
On the other hand,
G. Kolář's play was disheartening.
The match ends 3 - 2.
