The referee signaled a penalty for the home side after 40 minutes, amid vocal protests from the visitors. Dynamo fans erupted in celebration as E. Troilo rifled the ball into the the top corner. 1 - 0! Giant's right side looked dangerous 43 minutes in, but G. Ottensamer made a good save on N. Foncalada's hard shot to the top corner. It was 1 - 0 at the break. Possession in this half belonged to Dynamo, who controlled the ball 55 percent of the time.

The visitors' equaliser seemed sure to come after 54 minutes, following a one on one situation around the left hand side of the goal area, but G. Ottensamer got the best of it, blocking the shot from R. Duijsenberg. 65 minutes were showing on the scoreboard when Giant's R. Duijsenberg received his second yellow card and was sent off. E. Troilo found it hard to catch his breath today in the stifling heat. A well-executed free kick by E. Troilo after 85 minutes made it 2 - 0 for Dynamo. It wasn't a good day at all for S. Inácio. His powerful style of play just didn't fit the bill on this warm day. Dynamo had most of the ball, with 56 percent of possession.

Dynamo's best player was F. Şerban. B. Flamstål on the other hand, had a terrible day. N. Foncalada performed admirably for Giant. K. Güç was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 0.
