The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 30552 had shown up at
Stadion ryby Badys for the match.
Egidio Ceschini was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Jamie van der Made and
Andrew Lang.
A 2-5-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Schaferu.
The following players had been chosen: Věchet - Ledinski, Vasil - Chergui, Stamatović, Hamák, Badžo, Poschung - Kagouras, Michek, Halíř.
Lazaret had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
The following players took the field: Val - Gruendel, Lehner, Janoch - Gidor, Magdziński, Bartyzal, Belda, Remža - Bonghi, Quinn.
Lazaret used their skill at pressing to cut off the attack angles of their opponents all over the field.
With 9 minutes played,
M. Hamák of Schaferu fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving.
The pressing tactics used by Lazaret were successful as the ball remained close to the half way line at all times.
Schaferu had a good opportunity to take the lead as
M. Poschung came up the left side, but he struck the ball weakly and it went straight into the arms of
J. Val.
Schaferu took the lead 33 minutes in, as
V. Michek broke through on the left and put the 1 - 0 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper.
Schaferu solidified their lead at the 34 minute mark, as
D. Halíř dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 2 - 0.
The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 0.
Schaferu enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 66 percent of possession.
A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Schaferu's
V. Michek increasing the lead to 3 - 0.
With 72 minutes played,
D. Halíř could have brought this one home for Schaferu as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high.
Things were deteriorating for the away team as Schaferu scored another to make it 4 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for
A. Chergui after 74 minutes.
S. Stamatović's curling free kick almost found the goal for Schaferu, but the visitors' keeper somehow managed to get ahold of it.
At this time in the match, Lazaret were using their skill at pressing to successfully stifle the game.
Schaferu had most of the ball, with 68 percent of possession.
The most dominating Schaferu player was without a doubt
M. Hamák.
T. Ledinski turned in a dismal performance, however.
Lazaret's top performer was clearly
A. Belda.
However,
J. Val made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 4 - 0.
