Clouds darkened the skies at FU plácek as 12000 spectators turned up for the match. Marius Karr was the appointed referee. FU tactics involved an interesting 5-3-2 combination. The following players took the field: Bobovskiy - Jaroš, Reimi, Fižuleto, Bruder, Militký - Pålsson, Henry, Michálek - Lerche, Orenborg.

Zandov started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Starters: Bergin - Schlachter, Gabás, Guidorzi - Aranda, Kašparec, Faldyna, Wimberger, Vaimare - Bastiaanse, Ingalls.

Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for FU. R. Fižuleto showed why he is feared on the counterattack, breaking through in the middle and scoring for FU after 6 minutes to make the score 1 - 0. 16 minutes into the game Zandov's I. Aranda found a gap in the home side's central defence and scored with a fabulous shot, making it 1 - 1. Halftime score was 1 - 1. Zandov claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 65 percent.

With 72 minutes played, S. Guidorzi of Zandov fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. 76 minutes into the match, Zandov nearly took the lead, as S. Guidorzi broke through on the right. E. Bobovskiy made the save, however. FU earned themselves a free kick after a counterattack wasn't dealt with adequately by their opponents. R. Militký powered the shot in for 2 - 1. With 80 minutes played, FU's M. Michálek almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net. Good work by the FU defensive line after 82 minutes produced a good counterattack chance, which cut elegantly down the middle of the pitch and found R. Fižuleto alone in front of the goal, but his shot whistled just wide. Zandov enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 64 percent of possession.

Most important FU player was I. Orenborg. E. Bobovskiy on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Zandov player was without a doubt O. Faldyna. H. Bergin was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 1.
