Prasata 3 - 0 Plzeň
(365970817)

10-03-2012 11.40
Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 12000 to
Smrdutý Prasečí Chlívek.
Paul-Emile Dujardin was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Jonathan Buck and
Gottfried Neubauer.
Prasata tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination.
They fielded: Hemerka - Berounský, Jäger, Berger, Kotlík - Stach, Caha, Ján, Lojkásek - Chrpa, Fojtík.
A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Plzeň.
The following players took the field: Ševčík - Haša, Palla, Koudela, Salva - Kroupa, Horvat, Koreš, Kunert - Tlapák, Leibl.
P. Jäger received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 12 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score.
Prasata had a good opportunity to take the lead as
I. Caha came up the left side, but he struck the ball weakly and it went straight into the arms of
A. Ševčík.
Prasata created a good opportunity to score 26 minutes into the match when
Z. Fojtík's hooked ball from the left created a scuffle in front of the goal, and the visitors' defenders had a hard time clearing the ball.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
S. Kotlík from Prasata a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 27 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
After 28 minutes of play, the free-spirited
F. Kunert decided to go for goal as he struck the ball from the corner of the pitch. The ball hit a defender in the face and bounced out of play.
Prasata took the lead 31 minutes in, as
Z. Fojtík broke through on the left and put the 1 - 0 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper.
The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 0.
Prasata had most of the ball, with 61 percent of possession.
Plzeň's
A. Ševčík left the field after 72 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was
J. Jirásek.
One of many good crosses from
M. Lojkásek on the wing was received and skillfully taken care of by
Z. Fojtík, who scored for Prasata. 2 - 0
Prasata's
S. Ján increased the lead to 3 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 78 minutes.
With 82 minutes played,
I. Caha could have brought this one home for Prasata as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high.
Prasata enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 63 percent of possession.
Prasata's best player was
Z. Fojtík.
E. Hemerka on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The most dominating Plzeň player was without a doubt
M. Salva.
On the other hand,
M. Palla's play was disheartening.
The match ends 3 - 0.
