Things were deteriorating for the away team as Smichov scored another to make it 2 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for P. Zábranský after 29 minutes. Cheers filled the stadium as T. Smyček broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 3 - 0 to Smichov. The players of Smichov now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. The rain made it hard for players like V. Polák to show their technical control of the ball on this soggy day. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. T. Smyček squirmed through their central defence after 38 minutes, increasing the lead to 4 - 0. It was 4 - 0 at the break. Křepinský increasing the lead to 7 - 0. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Smichov, with 73 percent of the ball.

Smichov's top performer was clearly T. Smyček. R. Peřina was a disappointment, however. FCBlaugranas's best player was V. Rybáček. However, G. Hübsch made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 7 - 0.
