11709 spectators had come to Culés Camp this cloudy day. Tomás Senra was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Antoine Louis and Héctor Jusid. FCBlaugranas tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination. Lineup: Hübsch - Zůna, Mayer, Kašík, Makovský - Bláha, Broukal, Komárek, Šedý - Česal, Rybáček.

Palačinky started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Třeštík - Knapp, Zazvonil, Kapusta, Novák - Příkaský, Papík, Poklop, Hůrka - Kurka, Pazderka.

The home side put themselves ahead 1 - 0 after 7 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from V. Makovský, who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing. 16 minutes into the game, F. Pazderka had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came A. Škvor. The crowd was silenced 30 minutes into the match as the visiting team's E. Kurka came in from the left, levelling the score to 1 - 1. 35 minutes into the game, E. Kurka almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. The referee showed FCBlaugranas's V. Kašík the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Given a free kick in a difficult position after 40 minutes, FCBlaugranas tried a variation that they had practised in training. The kick was sent into the area just in front of the keeper. However, the defence were on their toes and allowed no space for a finish. FCBlaugranas took the lead 41 minutes into the game by 2 - 1, as V. Bláha elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. V. Rybáček should probably have put his team up another goal after 44 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by V. Třeštík kept the visitors in the game. With 44 minutes gone, a long pass from the defence of Palačinky resulted in a counterattack that set A. Škvor free through the middle, but the keeper made a spectacular diving save. It was 2 - 1 at the break. Palačinky had most of the ball, with 52 percent of possession.

After 69 minutes, Palačinky were awarded a free kick. Rather than shooting straight at goal, the taker went for an indirect variant which seemed to take his team mates a bit by surprise. L. Příkaský did attempt a finish, but from an awkward position, sending the ball into the away fans. V. Kašík knew he was in trouble after hacking down an opponent. Despite his pleading with the referee, the FCBlaugranas player was shown a second yellow card and dismissed from the game. Palačinky levelled the score after 72 minutes to make it 2 - 2, as K. Zazvonil struck home after a fine midfield combination through the centre, which left him completely unmarked. Palačinky had to make a substitution after 77 minutes. Z. Poklop limped off the field and was replaced by M. Križan. The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of Palačinky's E. Novák after 80 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 2 - 3 lead. After 81 minutes a very unfortunate collision in the penalty area led to Palačinky's E. Novák being carried off the pitch and replaced by B. Mráz. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Palačinky, with 55 percent of the ball.

FCBlaugranas's best player was V. Rybáček. G. Hübsch on the other hand, had a terrible day. M. Papík performed admirably for Palačinky. V. Třeštík was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 3.
