Mokimbo 3 - 0 Montebbono (365990763)

Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 50000 at Mokimbarena today. Sigurd Nielsen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Anders Mörnman and Fabien Ferry. Mokimbo tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. Starters: Rrudha - Deiana, Pacella, Arcudi - Pelletti, Maggiore, Teodorini, Medori, Aquino - Stame, Rossi.

Montebbono started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Lineup: Piana - Gheza, Serafini, Smedile - Çitci, Bilato, Fagnini, Tedde, Torrio - Madsen, Olcha.

Montebbono used their skill at pressing to cut off the attack angles of their opponents all over the field. After 9 minutes, Mokimbo's V. Rossi swiftly ran past G. Serafini and nutmegged the keeper! 1 - 0. After 23 minutes, L. Pacella sent the corner kick right to R. Teodorini who headed it sharply past the keeper. 2 - 0! After 36 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by A. Pelletti might have resulted in another goal for Mokimbo. However, L. Piana made a spectacular save. It was 2 - 0 at the break. Mokimbo had most of the ball, with 55 percent of possession.

After 60 minutes, Montebbono switched G. Olcha with S. Carminati, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. The bench was restless, and with 60 minutes passed Montebbono's coach gave B. Cavani the opportunity the player had been hoping for. G. Serafini reluctantly left the field. Montebbono's ability to press all over the field frequently paid dividends. Cheers filled the stadium as V. Rossi broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 3 - 0 to Mokimbo. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Montebbono's J. Madsen was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 89 minutes. D. Lottenbach was given a chance to change things around. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Mokimbo, with 58 percent of the ball.

N. Maggiore performed admirably for Mokimbo. M. Rrudha on the other hand, had a terrible day. Montebbono's best player was V. Tedde. D. Lottenbach was a disappointment, however. The match ends 3 - 0.
