Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 53052 at Hill Valley today. George Negreanu was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Musa Ecvet and Lynn Arroyo. Cecentus started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. Lineup: Titini - Ghiberti, Gugini, Gindre, Blumenthal - Hooijenga, Oud, Aresti, Ahuir - Pohlmann, Oppenheim.

At 3 minutes played, R. Veysseyre came in from the right with the intention of giving Cannarsa the lead, but his rocket of a shot rattled the crossbar. The referee signaled a penalty for the home side after 11 minutes, amid vocal protests from the visitors. Cannarsa fans erupted in celebration as P. Kjellsson rifled the ball into the the top corner. 1 - 0! The referee showed Cannarsa's J. Toikka the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. R. Veysseyre had a fantastic opportunity to put Cannarsa up another goal 19 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. Cannarsa's H. Alden left the field after 23 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was T. Kvasnica. With 27 minutes played, S. Pohlmann came in from the right and could have evened the score, but the defenders successfully repelled the attack by Cecentus. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 0. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Cannarsa, with 54 percent of the ball.

With 47 minutes played, E. Aresti of Cecentus fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. After 50 minutes, Cannarsa's E. Caddi swiftly ran past B. Gugini and nutmegged the keeper! 2 - 0. The bench was restless, and with 55 minutes passed Cecentus's coach gave A. Puntus the opportunity the player had been hoping for. B. Gugini reluctantly left the field. After 55 minutes, Cecentus used a short break in the game to take new instructions from their coach. After 70 minutes, the Cannarsa players received new instructions from their manager on how to keep in control of the game. In the lead, Cannarsa adjusted their style of play with 70 minutes gone. E. Caddi left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 75 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. P. Menghini was the replacement. Cecentus kept trying to force their way through on the right side and A. Hooijenga got his chance after 82 minutes, but the home side's defence held their position and stopped the attack. 85 minutes in, A. Hooijenga made an incredible run up the middle and nearly reduced the home side's lead, but T. Majaniemi refused to let the ball slip by him. Cannarsa had most of the ball, with 56 percent of possession.

R. Veysseyre performed admirably for Cannarsa. T. Kvasnica turned in a dismal performance, however. The most dominating Cecentus player was without a doubt S. Pohlmann. B. Blumenthal on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 2 - 0.
