(366004614)

25-02-2012 12.00
Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 47115 to
Sporting Arena.
Hardo Villems was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Kjell Våge and
Heini Zanger.
A 2-5-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Sporting.
Starters: Reimondez - Kubeček, Korvin - San Martín, Grabari, Améndola, Finestre, Burton - Svahn, Rubio Morales, Buxheli.
Manzo had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation.
Lineup: Górny - Borkowicz, Chiarella, Rams - La Corte, Galiussi, Mocella, Seemann - Nasuti, Mercado, Pinheiro.
Manzo seemed to prefer attacking in the middle.
P. Buxheli caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 4 minutes. This gave Sporting the 1 - 0 lead.
Manzo's
C. Mercado was shown a yellow card after 15 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
V. Grabari unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide.
Sporting put themselves up 2 - 0 when
S. Burton broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake.
Almost all the way down to the corner flag, Sporting's
J. San Martín somehow managed to get a perfect pass into the middle, impossible to miss for
P. Buxheli, who struck for 3 - 0.
41 minutes in,
C. Mercado made an incredible run up the middle and nearly reduced the home side's lead, but
I. Reimondez refused to let the ball slip by him.
After 42 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Manzo found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to
passable.
Sporting solidified their lead at the 43 minute mark, as
J. Kubeček dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 4 - 0.
At this point, it was obvious that the players of Sporting lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented.
4 - 0 was the score after the first half.
Possession in this half belonged to Sporting, who controlled the ball 59 percent of the time.
The coach gave his players an extra tactical briefing during the break, and after that Manzo had
solid organisation.
Sporting's
P. Buxheli had an excellent opportunity after 47 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles!
S. Finestre left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 50 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead.
V. Canà was the replacement.
After 50 minutes, the Sporting players received new instructions from their manager on how to keep in control of the game.
After 79 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and
V. Canà gave the Sporting supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 5 - 0.
82 minutes into the game, Manzo seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to
solid.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Sporting, with 55 percent of the ball.
Most important Sporting player was
A. Svahn.
On the other hand,
V. Canà's play was disheartening.
The most dominating Manzo player was without a doubt
L. Pinheiro.
However,
S. Seemann made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 5 - 0.
