A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 45285 to Arena gioiosa mysara. Cem Levne was the appointed referee. A 3-4-3 alignment was the formation of choice for mysara. Lineup: Ciocan - Dajak, Segatori, Tonzar - Abbieri, Rotolo, Flaugnacco, Josse - Trippetta, Virgulti, Arcea.

W.L.F. started off with a 2-5-3 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Fergelis - Gripenberg, Montowski - Palickaitis, Bruno, Scarpa, De Gregori, Clarys - Girlanda, Tolloi, Parton.

W.L.F. saw most attack opportunities on the wings. They were singing the praises of R. Flaugnacco 18 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 1 - 0 to mysara. A great save by keeper S. Fergelis after 23 minutes kept the visitors in the game after E. Virgulti struck from the left with a real cannonball. With 26 minutes played, A. De Gregori of W.L.F. fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. Several players seemed a little dazed by the warm weather, and were repeatedly tricked by the clever and agile V. Tolloi. Coming through the middle P. Girlanda almost scored the equaliser for W.L.F. after 37 minutes, but I. Ciocan made an excellent save, tipping the awkwardly curled shot past the post. Having been awarded a free kick in an awkward position after 38 minutes, W.L.F. did not go for a shot but instead fired the ball hard into the 6 yard box. After a brief tussle with his marker, V. Tolloi was able to power the ball past the keeper to make the score 1 - 1. It was 1 - 1 at the break. W.L.F. claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 56 percent.

W.L.F.'s D. Palickaitis could have put the guests one up after 47 minutes after chasing a through ball from the right, but I. Ciocan was as fast as a snake, grabbing the ball from under his nose. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, D. Palickaitis got himself booked. The manager of W.L.F. was not happy. 63 minutes into the game, E. Rotolo had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came A. Falciasecca. L. Abbieri was the new captain of mysara - handed the armband by the departing player. W.L.F. made it 1 - 2 as D. Palickaitis got a touch to the floated corner kick and flicked the ball to R. Bruno who whipped a low drive in off the far post. The home crowd was not impressed when V. Tolloi came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 83 minutes. W.L.F. were now up 1 - 3. mysara's A. Arcea proved that he's been around on a football pitch before, when he took advantage of a few moments of confusion in the opposition's defensive line and elegantly scored for 2 - 3. R. Bruno came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over I. Ciocan but overcooked it and hit the bar instead. W.L.F.'s E. Montowski lived up to his reputation for finding unexpected ways to get the ball in the net when he sent a nifty little pass over to P. Girlanda who finished for 2 - 4 with 88 minutes of the match played. 89 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 2 - 5 as M. Parton finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. W.L.F.'s V. Tolloi was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 89 minutes. W.L.F. increased their lead after 89 minutes when D. Palickaitis broke through on the right, upping the score to 2 - 6, much to the home crowd's dismay. W.L.F. enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 58 percent of possession.

mysara's best player was A. Arcea. L. Abbieri was a disappointment, however. W.L.F.'s top performer was clearly F. Scarpa. On the other hand, P. Girlanda's play was disheartening. The match ends 2 - 6.
