Qingqi 0 - 2 Spurton

Clouds darkened the skies at Retro as 32328 spectators turned up for the match. Pier Luigi Gubinelli was the appointed referee. People from all over Tallinn had joined up for the rivalry game. The head coach flashed hand signals from the sideline and Qingqi formed up in a 4-4-2 combination. Let's hope the opposing sideline wasn't filming that. The following players had been selected: Ploom - Zaldivar, Metz, Bang, Angen - Druzhkov, Leevike, Brorson, Rehwald - Meesen, Kuzenkov.

After thorough analysis and consultation of astrological charts, Spurton decided to go with a 3-5-2 formation. Lineup: Olesker - Gayle, Öke, Romo - Bălan, Bille, Wall, Gangholt, Darmakovičs - Currenti, Fânzeres.

It was obvious, dreadfully boring, and yet tantalizingly effective, to see Qingqi using their excellent pressing skills as their primary tactic. Spurton seemed to prefer attacking in the middle, using their magnificent ability to great effect. Qingqi's R. Angen was shown a yellow card after 30 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Qingqi's talent at pressing frustrated their opponents and the fans as the game became a stalemate in the middle of the park. At this time in the match, Qingqi were using their skill at pressing to successfully stifle the game. 0 - 0 was the score after the first half. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Spurton, with an impressive 56 percent possession of the ball.

With the clock showing 51 minutes, the fourth official held up the substitution board. A. Wall looked to see that it was his number in red, so he made his way over to the sideline and swapped out for C. Strickstrock, though he would have liked to continue. 60 minutes into the game, Spurton wanted to bring some new energy to their game. M. Fânzeres gave M. Fučík a quick hug as he left the field. The bleachers were silenced after 62 minutes when Spurton's H. Bille put the guests ahead 0 - 1, following an attack on the right. Spurton's W. Romo made it through the home team's defense on the right hand side 68 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded net when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line. K. Bang acted foolishly with 70 minutes played, giving the ball up to Spurton's J. Currenti who had no trouble finding the back of the net. 0 - 2. The Count appeared on the jumbotron and announced that Spurton had 63...63 percent possession. AH AH AH!

The most outstanding Qingqi player was without a doubt I. Leevike. I can't remember K. Ploom ever having a worse night than he just had. J. Currenti performed admirably for Spurton. Speaking of stinking up the place, C. Bălan sure smelled like the bottom of Batman's shoe after a night of crimefighting in Gotham. The match ends 0 - 2.
