Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 29144 to Battistoni Stadium. DnaKillerTeam tried to focus their attacks down the middle. ghe(ss) fans held their breath as B. Raco scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 1 - 0! DnaKillerTeam's J. Sauramo left the field after 15 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was M. Špaňhel. D. Ortega unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. The visitors didn't give in and, after 30 minutes, R. Ylikoski got through the home side's central line of defence, rolling in the equaliser to make it 1 - 1. ghe(ss) broke through on the left 32 minutes into the game, with B. Raco firing in from an acute angle to give the home side a 2 - 1 lead. A well placed corner kick from M. Urban was followed by C. Shaw's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for ghe(ss), the score now 3 - 1. ghe(ss)'s M. Urban got himself booked for a foul. G. Bolocan's knee will be throbbing for days, but thankfully for DnaKillerTeam, he bravely continued in the match. Morale on the visitors' bench was greatly improved when their S. Brinks reduced the lead to make it 3 - 2 after 44 minutes, following a pass from the right. The teams went for the halftime break at 3 - 2. ghe(ss) had most of the ball, with 57 percent of possession.

The home side's M. Urban curled a free kick home after 54 minutes, putting ghe(ss) ahead 4 - 2. Confident in their lead, ghe(ss)'s players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. C. Ricucci could have increased the lead after 80 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. A great save by keeper G. Bolocan after 81 minutes kept the visitors in the game after C. Shaw struck from the left with a real cannonball. G. Basualdo nearly reduced the lead 86 minutes into the game, but a splendid one-handed save by M. Botey prevented the attempt coming in from the right flank from hitting the back of the net. DnaKillerTeam's L. Waerenburgh was shown a yellow card after 87 minutes for slicing down an opponent. ghe(ss) were forced into a substitution as B. Raco couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing C. Campara to come in off the bench. Possession in this half belonged to ghe(ss), who controlled the ball 61 percent of the time.

ghe(ss)'s top performer was clearly C. Ricucci. T. Girard on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating DnaKillerTeam player was without a doubt S. Brinks. Z. Khashshab turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 4 - 2.
