(366116460)

21-04-2012 12.00
22694 punters turned up at
Hell in a Cell di Borgoagiovi, and despite threatening clouds on the horizon, no rain came.
Bogdan Mista was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Flavio Carhuachagua and
Petrik Peura.
Borgoagiovi had chosen a strategic 2-5-3 formation.
Lineup: Menardo - Cortellazzi, Carnea - Nardizzi, Padricelli, Paolinelli, Epifani, Tortora - Mecozzi, Zonta, Fioppo.
A 2-5-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Giorgetta.
They fielded: Gschwandtner - Balbás Fernández, Roeger - Fontoura, Belin, Torru, Facchini, Suárez - Sun, Villandrado, Kravchenko.
Giorgetta mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle.
Down the middle came
A. Facchini, making a fantastic play that nearly had Giorgetta take the lead after 2 minutes, but
B. Menardo preserved the tie.
It might be a while before the fans see Borgoagiovi's
F. Fioppo again, after he had to leave the field in great distress at the 7 minute mark. He was replaced by
F. Borghi.
N. Sun had a good opportunity to give Giorgetta the lead as he charged down the right and struck the ball towards the top corner, but the home team's goalkeeper made the save.
0 - 1 was the score with 19 minutes played, after
F. Kravchenko cut through the central defence and chipped home a goal for Giorgetta.
24 minutes into the match, Borgoagiovi's
S. Nardizzi maneuvered his way around the opposition on the left flank, delighting the crowd with his twists and turns. The effort paid off as the ball found the back of the net, evening the score at 1 - 1.
After 35 minutes,
F. Borghi came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 2 - 1, giving Borgoagiovi the lead.
2 - 1 was the halftime score.
Giorgetta had most of the ball, with 51 percent of possession.
With 54 minutes played,
N. Sun came in from the right and could have evened the score, but the defenders successfully repelled the attack by Giorgetta.
After 55 minutes Borgoagiovi's
C. Cortellazzi contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game.
Cheers filled the stadium as
D. Paolinelli broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 3 - 1 to Borgoagiovi.
By now, the players in Borgoagiovi felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
There was concern in the stands when, at the 85 minute mark, Giorgetta's
M. Roeger hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch.
Things were going to get worse for the visitors.
M. Tortora squirmed through their central defence after 88 minutes, increasing the lead to 4 - 1.
Possession in this half belonged to Borgoagiovi, who controlled the ball 51 percent of the time.
Borgoagiovi's top performer was clearly
A. Padricelli.
However,
M. Tortora made a disastrous appearance.
F. Kravchenko performed admirably for Giorgetta.
M. Gschwandtner was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 4 - 1.
