previous 8/10 next 10/10  Naples 10 - 0 DinamoUrbis (366157282)

The 31350 spectators at Owned Arena were in for an afternoon of sunshine. Samuel Andreasson was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Richard Harris and Miguel Simões. Naples started off with a 2-5-3 lineup. Starters: Wangwe - Lønbæk, Kopp - Hommel, Villette, Trentin, Pan, Grimaldi - Ferrándiz, Moccia, Isaković.

DinamoUrbis decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. They fielded: Prigeni - Neviani, Basaglia, Cristicchi, Piatti - Pizzirusso, Giusto, Visco, Ferrara - Sebai, Tangianu.

Right from the start it was obvious that Naples were expecting an easy victory. V. Ferrándiz would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. C. Cavani entered the game for Naples as the match clock showed 1 minutes. N. Isaković caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 3 minutes. This gave Naples the 1 - 0 lead. E. Trentin enjoyed the sunshine and demonstrated his stunning technique over and over again. Naples managed to extend their lead to 2 - 0 when C. Cavani cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. The players of Naples now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. There was concern in the stands when, at the 25 minute mark, Naples's S. Wangwe hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. 26 minutes into the game, Naples were awarded a penalty that J. Lønbæk turned into 3 - 0 without a problem. G. Cristicchi's inexperience was obvious when his continual hesitation to put in a tackle allowed V. Moccia plenty of time to pick an unguarded area of the goal for his shot, marking one for Naples. 4 - 0. After 38 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and N. Isaković gave the Naples supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 5 - 0. A great save by keeper C. Prigeni after 39 minutes kept the visitors in the game after V. Moccia struck from the left with a real cannonball. 5 - 0 was the halftime score. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Naples, with 92 percent of the ball.

The Naples coach was visibly pleased with the score so far, but still ordered a few tactical changes 46 minutes into the game. J. Lønbæk wanted to play on, but the Naples coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 50 minutes into the game by F. Basile. F. Basile could have increased the lead after 53 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. P. Villette left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 62 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. W. Adams was the replacement. After 66 minutes, Naples sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached C. Cavani, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 6 - 0. 74 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as N. Isaković broke through, making the score 7 - 0 for Naples. By then N. Isaković had scored three goals - a hat trick! A well placed corner kick from F. Basile was followed by J. Pan's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for Naples, the score now 8 - 0. Cheers filled the stadium as N. Isaković broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 9 - 0 to Naples. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. V. Moccia squirmed through their central defence after 84 minutes, increasing the lead to 10 - 0. Naples had most of the ball, with 94 percent of possession.

Most important Naples player was S. Wangwe. On the other hand, A. Grimaldi's play was disheartening. The most dominating DinamoUrbis player was without a doubt L. Tangianu. C. Prigeni on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 10 - 0.
