(366248010)

05-05-2012 12.20
17999 spectators arrived at
Pelly Stadium, where weather conditions were pretty good for football.
Robert Tobiasson was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Blahoslav Novisedlák and
Luis María Hita.
Pelly tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
The following players had been chosen: Stærmose - Kapusta, Ulfig, Grullis-Drullis - Konrath, Castanheira, Michod, Angius, Ivanović - Mesner, Biler.
Tromso started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
Starters: De Giorgi - Nouche, Lizzi, Mayta - Ergma, Schausberger, Uskoković, Van Den Broeck, Parada - Shani, Brendesæter.
Tromso used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings.
They were singing the praises of
K. Biler 20 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 1 - 0 to Pelly.
The referee showed Pelly's
P. Angius the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
A cross coming in on the right hand side left
S. Nouche alone in front of the goal after 29 minutes but his shot was woeful.
With 30 minutes played, Pelly put themselves up 2 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to
K. Biler, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home.
Pelly's
K. Biler saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 31 minutes.
Tromso's
S. Nouche was shown a yellow card after 33 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
Pelly solidified their lead at the 34 minute mark, as
K. Mesner dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 3 - 0.
The players of Pelly now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle.
3 - 0 was the halftime score.
Possession in this half belonged to Pelly, who controlled the ball 54 percent of the time.
The crowd roared its approval when
M. Stærmose somehow managed to block a shot which seemed to be a certain goal by Tromso's
S. Brendesæter 55 minutes into the game.
Pelly's
D. Konrath increased the lead to 4 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 62 minutes.
P. Michod had a fantastic opportunity to put Pelly up another goal 80 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar.
The home crowd was silenced as
S. Nouche took a successful penalty shot 85 minutes into the game, reducing the home lead to 4 - 1.
The home side's
B. Ulfig came close to extending the lead 86 minutes into the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but
L. De Giorgi managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop.
Pelly had most of the ball, with 51 percent of possession.
K. Mesner performed admirably for Pelly.
On the other hand,
M. Stærmose's play was disheartening.
Most important Tromso player was
S. Brendesæter.
S. Nouche on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 4 - 1.
