Dark skies made the crowd of 15852 at
Alessandro Del Piero a little nervous, but the rain held off.
Andreas Guggenberger was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Ard Woesthoff and
Adriano Verdone.
Roggetta tactics involved an interesting 3-4-3 combination.

Roggetta clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle.
Given a free kick in a difficult position after 22 minutes, Roggetta tried a variation that they had practised in training. The kick was sent into the area just in front of the keeper. However, the defence were on their toes and allowed no space for a finish.
After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,
L. Marques got himself booked. The manager of Roggetta was not happy.
Matera had to make a substitution after 31 minutes.
R. Teodorini limped off the field and was replaced by
F. Randolo.
Roggetta's
E. Addor tried to break through in the middle repeatedly, but couldn't get past the visitors' defenders.
A mistake by the home side's central defence after 34 minutes allowed
M. Laganaro to score for Matera. The scoreboard now read 0 - 1.

Matera enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 55 percent of possession.

An amazing free kick flew past the home keeper 78 minutes into the match, putting Matera ahead 0 - 3.

S. Sekulovski of Matera took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 79 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 4.
The players of Matera now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle.
With 84 minutes played, Matera put themselves up 0 - 5 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was
D. Zangrillo.
The home team's supporters got excited again when
N. Beykan broke through the visitors' central defence and caught their keeper off guard, making it 1 - 5.

Roggetta's top performer was clearly
N. Beykan.
H. Corado was a disappointment, however.
