Tokyo 3 - 1 Falcao (366291651)

Clear skies welcomed the 23107 spectators who had made their way to Jonathan Calò. Stephen Falaniko was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Antonio Bonfanti and Joost van Rhijn. Tokyo decided to use a 3-4-3 set up. They fielded: Vázquez - Sharabi, Oudshoorn, Bladen - Chakúrov, Bruühl, Argonz, Recão - Nohales, Galván, Tonzar.

Falcao had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation. The following players took the field: Dingler - Jarrín, Wickühler, Villarino - Shamugia, Ilić, Vázquez, Krogh - Nastasi, Xhezo, Herdeiro.

Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Falcao. The home side put themselves ahead 1 - 0 after 9 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from L. Recão, who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing. 18 minutes into the game, F. Vázquez had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came M. Niedzielski. G. Nohales unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. After 27 minutes Tokyo's V. Chakúrov had to be carried off on a stretcher in agony. M. Carle came in to replace him. 29 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as G. Nohales broke through, making the score 2 - 0 for Tokyo. Tokyo's S. Sharabi left the field after 33 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was C. Pyszyński. 2 - 0 was the halftime score. Tokyo claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 59 percent.

Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Falcao's M. Nastasi was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 46 minutes. A. Prada was given a chance to change things around. With 56 minutes showing on the scoreboard clock, Falcao showed some good skill and were able to reduce the score to 2 - 1 when P. Xhezo got past the home side's central defenders right in front of the goal. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Tokyo's E. Galván increasing the lead to 3 - 1. After this, you could see that the players of Tokyo were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. Tokyo's G. Nohales had an excellent opportunity after 74 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! Falcao mounted an inspired counterattack down the right wing after 75 minutes, but C. Jarrín was unable to convert from short range. Tokyo had most of the ball, with 58 percent of possession.

Tokyo's best player was G. Nohales. C. Pyszyński was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Falcao player was without a doubt D. Herdeiro. M. Niedzielski on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 3 - 1.
