Dark skies made the crowd of 59520 at FC Slokas Arena a little nervous, but the rain held off. David Camargo was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Krister Claesson and Sébastien Billard. Slokas decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. Lineup: Dzenis - Raya Núñez, Rodríguez, von Häfen - Yamashiro, Čamans, Caerts, Gkonias, Jākobsons - Putāns, Jurāns.

A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for FCTB. The following players took the field: Margara - Pentassuglia, Kamau, Peramiquel - Severi, Pic, Mion, Klekner, Tarsi - Adolfsson, Hestenes.

The strategy for FCTB was to use their ability to press. FCTB had to make a substitution after 3 minutes. Y. Tarsi limped off the field and was replaced by R. Hurkens. Čamans received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Slokas increased the lead as I. After 84 minutes FCTB's B. Pentassuglia contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game. FCTB's P. Klekner got himself booked for a foul. Slokas enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 56 percent of possession.

Slokas's top performer was clearly I. Jurāns. On the other hand, K. Čamans's play was disheartening. The most dominating FCTB player was without a doubt G. Margara. R. Andresen turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 4 - 0.
