After a fine move down the middle E. Bælum nearly gave the home side a goal after 30 minutes. However the finishing shot went just wide. Dreamers had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead. 33 minutes had elapsed when a great chance for Dreamers to take the lead after a good cross from the right found B. Rodríguez alone with the keeper, but he chipped it to the wrong side of the post. Halftime score was 0 - 0. Dreamers claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 63 percent.

Players in Dreamers heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their central attacks to the wings instead. The intense heat forced M. Mirošević into making some errors because he couldn't seem to keep up with the others. The terraces were silenced after 57 minutes when "Drillētājs"'s D. Aizstrauts put the guests ahead 0 - 1, following an attack on the right. J. Lācis behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 60 minutes as he gave the ball away to E. Karadağ. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. Dreamers's R. Schilperoort made an attempt at equalising 66 minutes into the match, coming in from the right, but the ball hit the post and the defence easily cleared the rebound. R. Schilperoort enjoyed the sunshine and demonstrated his stunning technique over and over again. After 72 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed Y. Sobenin to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 2. Dreamers's J. Lācis found himself alone on the left side 80 minutes into the match and laid down a perfect shot - right into the arms of the keeper! Dreamers had most of the ball, with 56 percent of possession.

The most dominating Dreamers player was without a doubt P. Bogucki. Y. Ben-Yaacov was a disappointment, however. "Drillētājs"'s top performer was clearly E. Karadağ. On the other hand, J. Zīverts's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 2.
