Clear skies welcomed the 12000 spectators who had made their way to fc BAUSKA "DIRNGOND" stadions. Claudio Beehler was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Przemysław Luczak and Rómeó Mocsary. People from all over Rīga had joined up for the derby. PFK IInter started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. Lineup: Skuja - Bērziņš, Ezerkalns, Bulavskis, Ērglis - Abissov, Grīva, Bācs, Khrenov - Lamac', Nenarokov.

A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for K.E.F.. They fielded: Trumms - Dankin, Judrups, Carboni, Zemchenkov - Cinis, Cirvilis, Lima, Fanariotis - Glaudiņš, Silinieks.

G. Cirvilis had a good opportunity to give K.E.F. the lead as he charged down the right and struck the ball towards the top corner, but the home team's goalkeeper made the save. After 15 minutes, K.E.F. put themselves up 0 - 1, as A. Silinieks finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot. With 16 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed G. Cirvilis of K.E.F. to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 2. With the scoreboard showing that 17 minutes had been played, K.E.F. nearly put themselves up another goal after R. Glaudiņš came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save. R. Glaudiņš received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 20 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 3. The K.E.F. fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. The players of K.E.F. now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. With 23 minutes played, V. Khrenov of PFK IInter fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. 0 - 3 was the score after the first half. K.E.F. enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 67 percent of possession.

The visitors' E. Judrups took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 57 minutes into the match. 0 - 4 for K.E.F.. After 65 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for G. Dankin who increased K.E.F.'s lead to 0 - 5. 77 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 6 as A. Silinieks finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. 81 minutes into the game, M. Cinis had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came E. Reiters. A. Silinieks was handed the K.E.F. captain's armband. A. Silinieks of K.E.F. took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 86 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 7. By then A. Silinieks had scored three goals - a hat trick! The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave E. Judrups from K.E.F. a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 87 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by K.E.F., with 72 percent of the ball.

PFK IInter's best player was V. Khrenov. However, E. Skuja made a disastrous appearance. Most important K.E.F. player was R. Glaudiņš. R. Zemchenkov on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 7.
