Clear skies welcomed the 9704 spectators who had made their way to FK-U-20 Arena. Pavlos Mpelonis was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Frédéric Delvaux and Koby Munk. FK-U-20 had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. The following players took the field: Pupiņš - Skujiņš, Auris, Reginevich, Viciens - Shneyderov, Vilks, Desainis, Barinov - Vēveris, Puriņš.

A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for SemaforaFK. Starters: Rajeckis - Ūšelis, Meija, Zaburdaylo, Hauks - Brenčs, Ozoliņš, Siņavskis, Trošiņš - Šmits, Mazur.

Many thought K. Vēveris ought to have been awarded a penalty 18 minutes into the game, as he went down trying to dribble around M. Rajeckis after a determined run through the middle. After some beautiful movement down the left wing, J. Reginevich scored for FK-U-20 putting them ahead 1 - 0, after 19 minutes. The incalculable A. Puriņš of FK-U-20 did everything right as he set up M. Barinov for a goal after 23 minutes. Unfortunately, the strike missed its target. Cheers filled the stadium as K. Shneyderov broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 2 - 0 to FK-U-20. FK-U-20 put themselves up 3 - 0 when K. Vēveris broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. V. Viciens increased the lead for FK-U-20 to 4 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! By now, the players in FK-U-20 felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. R. Auris could have increased the lead after 40 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. It was 4 - 0 at the break. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by FK-U-20, with 71 percent of the ball.

FK-U-20's K. Vēveris increased the lead to 5 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 52 minutes. FK-U-20 solidified their lead at the 60 minute mark, as A. Puriņš dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 6 - 0. Against a lesser team, FK-U-20 could very well have succeeded with their smart indirect free kick routine after 73 minutes. A trio of passes took the ball all the way past the defenders, but by then the intended recipient was already blocked off and the keeper could make a leisurely save. M. Barinov should probably have put his team up another goal after 74 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by M. Rajeckis kept the visitors in the game. SemaforaFK's V. Zaburdaylo was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 80 minutes. Possession in this half belonged to FK-U-20, who controlled the ball 72 percent of the time.

K. Vēveris performed admirably for FK-U-20. M. Pupiņš turned in a dismal performance, however. SemaforaFK's best player was M. Brenčs. However, A. Siņavskis made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 6 - 0.
