Clouds darkened the skies at Depo as 5598 spectators turned up for the match. Daniel Buisson was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Darek Babicz and Konstantīns Cepurnieks. The derby had been the talk of Limbaži all week and fans of both teams could be seen throughout the stadium. A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Fk_Loko. Delaxe started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Baltiņš - Ronis, Pērkons, Zharov, Rūja - Laķis, Varela, Agulla, Rapa - Ibrom, Matuzov.

R. Leitāns looked great 11 minutes into the match after stopping a shot from the middle of the penalty area from the visitors' P. Ibrom. Some things can only be learned through experience, and E. Zelcāns should take his lesson to heart after nearly gifting Delaxe a goal with 12 minutes of the match played. Given a free kick in a difficult position after 23 minutes, Delaxe tried a variation that they had practised in training. The kick was sent into the area just in front of the keeper. However, the defence were on their toes and allowed no space for a finish. Delaxe's P. Ibrom managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 33 minutes. 0 - 1. With the scoreboard showing that 35 minutes had been played, Delaxe nearly put themselves up another goal after R. Varela came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save. 0 - 1 was the halftime score. Delaxe claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 69 percent.

P. Ibrom increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 2. 65 minutes in, Fk_Loko's D. Kalniņš received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, T. Shokalo got himself booked. The manager of Fk_Loko was not happy. With 76 minutes played, Delaxe put themselves up 0 - 3 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was R. Varela. Had it not been for one of the home defenders, S. Matuzov would have put Delaxe up another goal 77 minutes into the match with his audacious lob from the right wing. M. Kosenkov of Fk_Loko received a yellow card after 86 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. The visitors' I. Pērkons took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 89 minutes into the match. 0 - 4 for Delaxe. Confident in their lead, Delaxe's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. Delaxe had most of the ball, with 70 percent of possession.

Fk_Loko's best player was E. Kaktnieks. R. Leitāns turned in a dismal performance, however. S. Matuzov performed admirably for Delaxe. On the other hand, J. Baltiņš's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 4.
