Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 7702 to
"crepi il lupo".
Beniamin Dęga was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Mario Schlabach and
Matej Vugrinec.
The derby had been the talk of
Emilia Romagna all week and fans of both teams could be seen throughout the stadium.
Sintoteam started off with a 3-4-3 lineup.
The following players took the field: Crombeen - Hurdubei, Veth, Periccioli - Giłka, Rossano, Sbrancia, Berti - Dusík, Pin, Arciozzi.
F.C.Permaflex tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination.
Starters: Cardozo - Butterini, Lambertini, Porcelli, Reittu - Morup, Chiorri, de Ruijter, Therkildsen - Schäfer, Licznerski.
After 2 minutes, Sintoteam's
B. Berti swiftly ran past
B. Butterini and nutmegged the keeper! 1 - 0.
Sintoteam put themselves up 2 - 0 when
M. Rossano broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake.
After 18 minutes,
M. Rossano put Sintoteam ahead 3 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing.
After this, you could see that the players of Sintoteam were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals.
A great save by keeper
B. Cardozo after 28 minutes kept the visitors in the game after
J. Pin struck from the left with a real cannonball.
B. Butterini of F.C.Permaflex was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
Things were deteriorating for the away team as Sintoteam scored another to make it 4 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for
J. Veth after 38 minutes.
With 42 minutes gone, F.C.Permaflex had a free kick in a decent position. Despite this being a great chance for a shot, they tried a cheeky move intended to bypass the defence. However,
S. Chiorri did not manage to connect with it cleanly and the ball went out.
M. Rossano should probably have put his team up another goal after 43 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by
B. Cardozo kept the visitors in the game.
Sintoteam's
D. Arciozzi was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 44 minutes.
The teams went for the halftime break at 4 - 0.
Sintoteam had most of the ball, with 58 percent of possession.
With 55 minutes played, the F.C.Permaflex coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around.
E. de Vogel came on,
D. Schäfer had to leave the fray.
J. de Ruijter was handed the F.C.Permaflex captain's armband.
J. Pin could have put Sintoteam up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 58 minutes.
After 59 minutes, Sintoteam's
D. Arciozzi fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit!
B. Porcelli of F.C.Permaflex received a yellow card after 68 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
The Sintoteam free kick 72 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of
V. Dusík, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 5 - 0!
Sintoteam's
G. Sbrancia got himself booked for a foul.
Possession in this half belonged to Sintoteam, who controlled the ball 58 percent of the time.
Sintoteam's best player was
J. Pin.
On the other hand,
M. Periccioli's play was disheartening.
Most important F.C.Permaflex player was
M. Licznerski.
B. Porcelli turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 5 - 0.
