By now, the players in Retegoal felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. G. Fanizzo of Retegoal took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 13 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 3. With 37 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed V. Bruzzese of Retegoal to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 4. The home crowd was not impressed when E. Zambon came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 39 minutes. Retegoal were now up 0 - 5. Halftime score was 0 - 5. Possession in this half belonged to Retegoal, who controlled the ball 61 percent of the time.

A defender managed to keep the ball from crossing the goal-line after a curling shot coming in from the right from E. Zambon after 58 minutes, and prevented Retegoal from going up another goal. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave M. Ferrara from Retegoal a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 59 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! With 70 minutes played, Retegoal's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to F. Civitella he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 0 - 6. Some things can only be learned through experience, and S. Zanin should take his lesson to heart after nearly gifting Retegoal a goal with 74 minutes of the match played. Retegoal increased their lead after 79 minutes when V. Bruzzese broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 7, much to the home crowd's dismay. After 83 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave M. Ferrara a chance to increase the lead for Retegoal, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 8. Retegoal's V. Bruzzese got himself booked for a foul. G. Fanizzo sailed high above the opponents as he headed in a corner kick from V. Bruzzese after 85 minutes of play, making the score 0 - 9. That made three goals for G. Fanizzo and he was marked down for the hat trick. The visitors almost increased their lead after 88 minutes when a sweetly hit free kick looked like it was heading for the top corner. However the keeper managed to get a fingertip to it, sending it over the bar. Retegoal claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 64 percent.

P. Islamaj performed admirably for sampvincipernoi. C. Moşuţiu on the other hand, had a terrible day. Retegoal's best player was G. Fanizzo. On the other hand, A. Mordente's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 9.
