Clear skies welcomed the 3473 spectators who had made their way to olimpia 2000 Arena. Pinsino was alert after a cross coming in from the left, levelling the score at 1 - 1 after 14 minutes. With 31 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 2 - 1 lead as G. Biague flipped the ball in after a cross from the right. I. Broască unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. olimpia managed to extend their lead to 3 - 1 when F. Pelloni cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. D. Salvadore could have put olimpia up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 41 minutes. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave G. Forese from LOL26 a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 42 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Due to a severely mistimed tackle, A. Capursi of olimpia spent some time on the grass writhing in agony before he could get up and continue the game. The teams went for the halftime break at 3 - 1. olimpia claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 75 percent.

The home side's I. Broască curled a free kick home after 47 minutes, putting olimpia ahead 4 - 1. olimpia increased the lead as I. Broască struck to make the score 5 - 1 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. By now, the players in olimpia felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. Cheers filled the stadium as D. Pinsino made a nice dash down the wing after 79 minutes, but was unable to get the cross into the box. A goal kick was awarded. I. Broască increased olimpia's lead to 7 - 1 with a penalty spot cannonball. That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for I. Broască. olimpia enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 76 percent of possession.

A. Cerrato performed admirably for olimpia. However, P. Licitra made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating LOL26 player was without a doubt M. Strino. S. Mandini turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 7 - 1.
