Si-Selo 6 - 0 Partizan
(367224010)

12-05-2012 13.30
Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and
El Cilindro saw a crowd turnout of 12000.
Elton Schmitt was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Raoul Ramseyer and
Klaus-Philipp Klüten.
Si-Selo tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
Starters: Pezelj - Radmanović, Mandžukić, Knežević - Baloira, Dizdarević, Carević, Jakšić, Vizitiu - Al-Rheda, Wäffler.
A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Partizan.
They fielded: Miranović - Papec, Dobrić, Mustahinić, Čaušević - Grčić, Nikačević, Gačić, Simendić - Lekić, Štaka.
M. Mandžukić behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 10 minutes as he gave the ball away to
S. Štaka. Lucky for him though, there was no goal.
Si-Selo took the lead 21 minutes into the game by 1 - 0, as
M. Mandžukić elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar.
A great save by keeper
R. Miranović after 22 minutes kept the visitors in the game after
M. Wäffler struck from the left with a real cannonball.
The Si-Selo free kick 32 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of
F. Baloira, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 2 - 0!
Si-Selo's
M. Al-Rheda got himself booked for a foul.
Partizan were forced into a substitution as
B. Grčić couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing
H. Šainović to come in off the bench.
With 43 minutes played,
R. Radmanović could have brought this one home for Si-Selo as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high.
Partizan's
S. Štaka was shown a yellow card after 43 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
M. Mandžukić was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so Si-Selo's
D. Tomašević had to come off the bench.
2 - 0 was the halftime score.
Si-Selo had most of the ball, with 62 percent of possession.
After 58 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and
A. Vizitiu gave the Si-Selo supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 3 - 0.
By now, the players in Si-Selo felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
It was showtime for artist
F. Baloira who showed off his technical mastery when he rounded
M. Gačić and finished with a goal to make the score 4 - 0.
A. Vizitiu increased the lead for Si-Selo to 5 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it!
With 69 minutes played, Si-Selo's
M. Al-Rheda almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net.
After 71 minutes,
A. Vizitiu put Si-Selo ahead 6 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing.
At that,
A. Vizitiu was noted down for a hat trick!
Si-Selo enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 60 percent of possession.
Si-Selo's top performer was clearly
M. Al-Rheda.
On the other hand,
H. Carević's play was disheartening.
S. Štaka performed admirably for Partizan.
R. Miranović turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 6 - 0.
