With 16 minutes gone, a long pass from the defence of dorado resulted in a counterattack that set B. Kurjak free through the middle, but the keeper made a spectacular diving save. With 22 minutes played M. Ulloa almost put the home team one ahead on a cross coming in from the right, but the shot went just wide. Good work by the dorado defensive line after 24 minutes produced a good counterattack chance, which cut elegantly down the middle of the pitch and found P. Igual alone in front of the goal, but his shot whistled just wide. dorado's U. Weiermann was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 27 minutes. Pennywise fans held their breath as S. Torner scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 1 - 0! Halftime score was 1 - 0. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Pennywise, with 61 percent of the ball.

47 minutes into the match, F. Casal could have extended the lead, but his powerful free kick went just over the bar. Pennywise's A. Infante Cortés was shown a yellow card after 48 minutes for slicing down an opponent. J. Francino of dorado had to be helped off the pitch as an injury meant he was unable to finish the game. C. Spicer came in to finish the match. C. Spicer became the new dorado captain. Pennywise put themselves up 2 - 0 when P. Villaño broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. With 70 minutes played, the dorado coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. D. Gaspar came on, E. Nurdiyantoro had to leave the fray. Pennywise's D. Cabrera increased the lead to 3 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 70 minutes. Pennywise's D. Cabrera had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 71 minutes having been played. H. Brandblad was the replacement. Pennywise increased the lead as A. Cantillo struck to make the score 4 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. Pennywise enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 61 percent of possession.

Pennywise's best player was M. Ulloa. However, H. Brandblad made a disastrous appearance. Most important dorado player was A. Kühlmann. C. Spicer turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 4 - 0.
