It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 46998 that came out to Can Drago Stadium. Chiel Suij was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Lyubomir Atanasov and Skaidris Baumanis. OCDP caught their opponents out with a clever counterattack down the right wing 5 minutes into the match. R. Elordi was able to finish off the move - 1 - 0. After 8 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by L. Magutto might have resulted in another goal for OCDP. However, S. Prodanović made a spectacular save. F. Ramiro Ezmir increased the lead for OCDP to 2 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! The visitors' right side was dangerous today; B. Caprez made the home team's keeper look foolish as he easily reduced the lead to make it 2 - 1 24 minutes into the match. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Celta's B. Caprez was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 25 minutes. J. Mompió was given a chance to change things around. As the game started to slip away for Celta, the manager decided to change the tactical approach. It was 2 - 1 at the break. Celta had most of the ball, with 52 percent of possession.

J. Mompió tied the game at 2 - 2 after 55 minutes, when he converted an incredible pass from the right. M. Foces didn't pace himself at all, and after a series of daring offensive runs he was too tired to help out in the defensive play. OCDP took the lead after 68 minutes as a result of L. Magutto's peach of a shot from the right hand side of the box - placed beautifully in the top corner. 3 - 2. The sun seemed to put P. Benenati in a great mood, and he showed off his technical skills all match long. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Celta, with 51 percent of the ball.

OCDP's top performer was clearly C. Pascu. J. Granda on the other hand, had a terrible day. Celta's best player was G. Cortallo. S. Prodanović turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 3 - 2.
