The 26737 spectators at C.D. Mr. Proper Arena were in for an afternoon of sunshine. Menelao Calascibetta was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Oddvar Olsen and Marco Antonio Pereira. A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Proper. Lineup: Fano - Tomás, Ameixa, Jaume - Kruszona, Treutel, Loinaz, Bartocci, Tauteris - Buera, Lora Guerrero.

After 2 minutes, Kuper put themselves up 0 - 1, as J. Oefele finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot. After 21 minutes, Kuper's E. Rojas Sánchez burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 2. F. Wolfsen received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 32 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 3. The Kuper fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. Proper supporters cheered as good work down the right got the ball to J. Lora Guerrero who reduced the visitors' lead after 33 minutes to 1 - 3. Proper's J. Lora Guerrero cut towards the middle after 38 minutes, receiving a brilliant pass and slicing through the visiting team's central defence, reducing the lead to 2 - 3. Á. González was, after 40 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper G. Fano made the save. 41 minutes in, Proper's P. Kruszona received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. It was 2 - 3 at the break. Possession in this half belonged to Kuper, who controlled the ball 57 percent of the time.

Proper put pressure on the visitors' central defence 47 minutes into the game, but R. Bartocci couldn't find an opening. The referee showed Proper's M. Jaume the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. 50 minutes into the game, Kuper worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. J. Oefele found it hard to catch his breath today in the stifling heat. It was a hot and sunny day, and several players seemed worn out. Maybe this was why R. Bartocci found an unusual amount of space for his snappy footwork. The home crowd was not impressed when Á. González came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 67 minutes. Kuper were now up 2 - 4. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Kuper lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. Kuper had most of the ball, with 61 percent of possession.

J. Lora Guerrero performed admirably for Proper. However, M. Jaume made a disastrous appearance. Most important Kuper player was U. Pietler. O. Terpstra turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 2 - 4.
