ROSTOOOY clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could. Many thought R. Cima ought to have been awarded a penalty 25 minutes into the game, as he went down trying to dribble around A. Polyanskiy after a determined run through the middle. ROSTOOOY were great at switching from defence to attack, and after 26 minutes, M. Rand swept through the middle on a counterattack, making the score 0 - 1. A. Ascariz made a superb strike after 27 minutes with a shot straight in front of the goal after a long ball through the middle, but one of the visitors' defenders got a foot in at the last second and warded it off for a corner. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave R. Cima from TON a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 33 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! The crowd chanted their encouragement as TON's M. Cunvas came in from the right after 39 minutes and put the ball in the net to level the score at 1 - 1. J. Toscani hit the corner kick straight to the keeper, but it was mishandled, giving ROSTOOOY's V. Gordon an easy chance to knock it in for 1 - 2. ROSTOOOY almost scored after a counterattack 42 minutes into the match, but M. Rand took a shot from the left that landed harmlessly in the side of the net. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 2. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by TON, with 70 percent of the ball.

57 minutes in, and TON were able to score the equalising goal to make it 2 - 2 when R. Cima picked up a pass coming in from the right and chipped it past the away team's keeper. The referee showed TON's J. Arqué the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. TON took the lead after 61 minutes as a result of F. Podsiadły's peach of a shot from the right hand side of the box - placed beautifully in the top corner. 3 - 2. TON had to make a substitution after 66 minutes. R. Cima limped off the field and was replaced by J. Caulés. P. Bosch neatly controlled the ball after a short corner, and knocked it on to S. Skerlj who had the whole net open before him, but only managed to hit the post. 78 minutes into the game ROSTOOOY managed a counterattack, but G. Barco took a soft shot from the left flank that was easy prey for the alert keeper. TON enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 71 percent of possession.

TON's best player was J. Arqué. On the other hand, J. Caulés's play was disheartening. M. Rand performed admirably for ROSTOOOY. V. Gordon on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 3 - 2.
