The home side put themselves ahead 2 - 1 after 36 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from A. Mihri, who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing. The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 1. Bessos enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 54 percent of possession.

With 47 minutes played, the Califato coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. A. Montoro came on, M. Korkala had to leave the fray. The Califato coach was desperate to reverse his team's fortunes in the game, and ordered his team to change strategy. As the game started to slip away for Califato, the manager decided to change the tactical approach. After 62 minutes, B. Rosa Vieira put Bessos ahead 3 - 1 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. Bessos's V. Rico increased the lead to 4 - 1, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 67 minutes. Confident in their lead, Bessos's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. The visitors replied 69 minutes into the game, reducing the home side's lead to 4 - 2, as B. Cianciullo dashed up the middle, easily lobbing the ball over the home team's keeper. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Califato, with 52 percent of the ball.

Bessos's top performer was clearly B. Rosa Vieira. M. Suárez was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Califato player was without a doubt E. Sáenz Díez. On the other hand, J. Sykała's play was disheartening. The match ends 4 - 2.
