Sagreras took a soft shot from the left flank that was easy prey for the alert keeper. It was a bad day for the usually speedy M. Castellón. The mud seemed to slow him down. A. Novas received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 31 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score. 36 minutes into the match Sanju's S. Arias couldn't take advantage of the penalty kick to put his team up by a goal. Coming in from the right, Cantimpalos had a good opportunity to convert on a counterattack after 37 minutes, but P. Barro's attempt to finish was easily stopped. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 0. Sanju claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 77 percent.

A quick counter attack by Cantimpalos forced the opponent's defender to give away a freekick. J. Sagreras was allowed to take it quickly by the referee, much to the dismay of the goalkeeper who wasn't prepared. 1 - 0! 68 minutes in, Sanju's S. Arias received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. With 74 minutes played, A. Novas of Cantimpalos fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. The game was close to savage at times, and Sanju's S. Arias received a second yellow card after 80 minutes; his ticket out of the game. Sanju enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 79 percent of possession.

Most important Cantimpalos player was A. Vea. However, A. Novas made a disastrous appearance. F. Schällibaum performed admirably for Sanju. A. Boterman turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 1 - 0.
