SELEKT tried to focus their attacks down the middle. The visiting J. García de Eulate was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 3 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 0 - 1 was the score. The crowd was on its feet 13 minutes into the match, as Electrocompon's C. Rieling found himself unmarked in front of the goal after a dash up the left side. He calmly put away the 1 - 1 equaliser. They were singing the praises of C. Prados 14 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 2 - 1 to Electrocompon. The referee showed Electrocompon's F. Saygül the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. A. Caixinha of SELEKT had to be helped off the pitch as an injury meant he was unable to finish the game. J. Sanz-Vitores came in to finish the match. The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 1. Electrocompon had most of the ball, with 52 percent of possession.

Electrocompon put themselves up 3 - 1 when G. Echandi broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. With 66 minutes played, Electrocompon put themselves up 4 - 1 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to F. Saygül, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. After this, you could see that the players of Electrocompon were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. The away team improved the scoreline to 4 - 2, as J. Sanz-Vitores struck home, set up well by a play on the left 80 minutes into the match. After 82 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by C. Rieling might have resulted in another goal for Electrocompon. However, M. Czółnowski made a spectacular save. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Electrocompon to 5 - 2 as G. Echandi finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. After 85 minutes Electrocompon's M. Zarpas Payá had to be carried off on a stretcher in agony. H. Andersen came in to replace him. Electrocompon enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 52 percent of possession.

A. Gómez performed admirably for Electrocompon. However, A. Comor made a disastrous appearance. Most important SELEKT player was J. García de Eulate. On the other hand, J. Sanz-Vitores's play was disheartening. The match ends 5 - 2.
