Comarca 3 - 1 Anag
(367394470)

03-03-2012 14.00
A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 21442 to
Bolsón Cerrado.
Emre Türemen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Ricardo Quaresma and
Halil Albartun.
Comarca had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
They fielded: Lafiguera - Di Maria, Millet, Rovatti - Sifontes, Batan, Bonde Nielsen, Gkavoyiannos, Hunze - Soini, Siekiera.
Anag started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
The following players took the field: Zvicevičius - Eedema, Godfeldt, Rutten - Eide, Magofke, Abbeldwatsch, Poutala, López - Ðurovski, Miceli.
Anag saw most attack opportunities on the wings.
Several players seemed a little dazed by the warm weather, and were repeatedly tricked by the clever and agile
T. Godfeldt.
It was obvious that Anag had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle.
Anag's
F. López could have put the guests one up after 23 minutes after chasing a through ball from the right, but
D. Lafiguera was as fast as a snake, grabbing the ball from under his nose.
Comarca took the lead 24 minutes into the match after a magnificent free kick by
S. Rovatti that made the score 1 - 0.
K. Siekiera should probably have put his team up another goal after 25 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by
H. Zvicevičius kept the visitors in the game.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
K. Eide from Anag a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 26 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
E. Sifontes was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so Comarca's
E. Pacheco had to come off the bench.
32 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as
C. Di Maria broke through, making the score 2 - 0 for Comarca.
The referee showed Anag's
J. Miceli the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
Halftime score was 2 - 0.
Comarca claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 63 percent.
Anag certainly deserved a goal after some stunning play down the left, but
T. Godfeldt just wasn't able to finish.
The fierce heat made it important to save breath, and after a few swift runs
J. Miceli found it hard to get back into position.
Coming from the right,
S. Millet almost managed to score another goal for Comarca, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper.
With 65 minutes played, the Anag coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around.
E. Bore came on,
F. López had to leave the fray.
Anag needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 65 minutes
J. Miceli made way for
L. da Silva.
A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Comarca's
P. Bonde Nielsen increasing the lead to 3 - 0.
The visitors got one back when
K. Eide finished off a pass from the left and scored after 80 minutes. 3 - 1 was the score.
The sunny day didn't make things easy for
E. Pacheco who didn't seem his usual powerful self on the pitch.
The crowd roared its approval when
D. Lafiguera somehow managed to block a shot which seemed to be a certain goal by Anag's
L. da Silva 82 minutes into the game.
Possession in this half belonged to Comarca, who controlled the ball 67 percent of the time.
Comarca's top performer was clearly
C. Gkavoyiannos.
E. Pacheco turned in a dismal performance, however.
The most dominating Anag player was without a doubt
K. Eide.
On the other hand,
M. Eedema's play was disheartening.
The match ends 3 - 1.
