Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 34876 to Wualanen FC. David Louis was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Folkert Holdorp and Željko Fiorović. It was 4 - 0 at the break. Possession in this half belonged to Wualanen, who controlled the ball 64 percent of the time.

T. Garayzabal unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide.
