The referee signaled a penalty for the home side after 4 minutes, amid vocal protests from the visitors. Blancarado fans erupted in celebration as M. Morzhakov rifled the ball into the the top corner. 1 - 0! M. Morzhakov's curling free kick almost found the goal for Blancarado, but the visitors' keeper somehow managed to get ahold of it. A free kick just outside of the visitors' penalty area after 22 minutes could have resulted in another goal, but L. Monfort got a hand out and tipped the ball over the bar. The referee showed Blancarado's A. Mordechai the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. In a fantastic display of determination, Pepper's J. Marchena forced himself to his feet, after an opponent viciously knocked him down. Blancarado's O. Nørlund got himself booked for a foul. When O. Nørlund made yet another studs-first tackle after 40 minutes, the referee was obliged to book the Blancarado player for the second time, sending him off the pitch. 1 - 0 was the halftime score. Blancarado claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 54 percent.

The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave J. Marchante from Pepper a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 71 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! A cross coming in on the right hand side left F. Kuric alone in front of the goal after 76 minutes but his shot was woeful. L. Monfort was caught napping as M. Morzhakov lifted a ball over him following a free kick, but the ball hit the bar, rebounding into the keeper's arms. A corner kick created great disorder in the penalty area with a goal nearly scored by G. Argalski. At last, Pepper's D. Hilera was able to backheel the ball in. 1 - 1. Possession in this half belonged to Blancarado, who controlled the ball 51 percent of the time.

Most important Blancarado player was M. Morzhakov. J. Clark turned in a dismal performance, however. L. Monfort performed admirably for Pepper. However, F. Kuric made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 1 - 1.
